Summary: Whiteabbey Sanatorium

Key dates:

Some of the hospitals catered only for TB patients. Tuberculosis (or TB) was a deadly disease and it was widespread in Ireland. This sanatorium was built at Whiteabbey outside Belfast to treat TB patients.
