Summary: Reconstructed Iron Age Houses
Key dates:
The construction of these Iron Age houses was very similar to those built by their immediate predecessors. Many of the houses may have been much larger but varied little in design or content from those of the later Bronze Age.
The walls of these houses were again of wattle and daub with thatched roofs. Doors were timber frames with woven branches.
Inside the houses were simple beds with straw and early looms may be seen.
