Summary: Glens Painter

Key dates:

James Humbert Craig was born in Belfast in 1878. He quickly established a reputation as the leading landscape painter in the north. Although he made sketching tours all around the west of Ireland, most of his inspiration came from the Glens of Antrim. This landscape painting of Glendun is typical of his work and he influenced a number of later Glens painters.
