Key dates:

Most towns had Assembly Rooms and theatres began to develop. One well known theatre was Smock Alley Theatre in Dublin. Music was popular with many and harp music was well liked by the upper classes, some of which kept their own harper. A Harp Festival in the Assembly Rooms in Belfast in 1792 is pictured.
