Summary: Soldiers

Soldiers and charioteers wore distinctive clothing which facilitated ease of movement. They wore short brats or jackets with trews (trousers) and a belt of leather or wool in which they carried objects. There were three styles of trews :
·Wide seated, narrow calves and instep straps
·Almost skin tight trews
·Bulbous trews which were just knee length.
