Summary: Grist Mill, Tynan

Key dates:

This grist, or grain, mill was built at Tynan in 1844 by a local landowner. Sacks of grain would have been hauled up to the attic and then emptied into hoppers. From there it went down to the grinding stones to produce fine meal which was then bagged.
