Summary: Church Choir

Key dates:

The famous Charles Wesley hymn, O for a thousand tongues was a popular choice for church choirs towards the end of the 19th century. Although Wesley was a Methodist, the hymn was very popular in Presbyterian churches where choirs sang it in 4 part harmony.
