Key dates:

Rev Henry Cooke was a high profile Ulster Presbyterian minister with a great interest in politics. In 1834 he addressed a crowd of 40,000 at Hillsborough and was seen in Ulster as the Presbyterian version of Daniel O’Connell whom he opposed on the Repeal issue.
